LBS Modified Program


L.B.S. Modified is a skills development program in communication (reading, writing and speaking) and numeracy at a pre - high school level. Its purpose is to help adults with developmental disabilities, attain their goals related to further training, employment, or independence.

What is the LBS Modified Program?

The LBS Modified program is for developmentally disabled adults over 21. Students participate in individually designed learning experiences focusing on:LBS-Mod-2.jpg

  • an upgrading of basic literacy and numeracy skills

  • the practical context in which these skills will be employed

  • the expressed needs and interests of the adults themselves

Who is eligible for the LBS Modified Program?

There are two basic requirements for admission to the LBS Modified Program:

  1. The adult should be able to profit from instruction in basic numeracy and literacy (teacher assessment).

  2. The adult must be physically autonomous and possess the capacity for independent action.

What are the LBS Modified Program Fees?

The LBS Modified Program is FREE!

Where are LBS Modified Classes Held?

LBS Modified classes are held at four CCE Learning Centres

  1. CCE ARC Learning Centre
  2. CCE Mountain Learning Centre
  3. CCE Red Hill Learning Centre
  4. CCE Westfield Learning Centre

Classes are held Monday to Friday, from 9:00am to 3:30 pm.

When and Where is Registration?

Enrollment to the LBS Modified Program is continuous throughout the school year. Our hours and days are flexible.
