Can I take night school courses?
Night School credit courses are available to day school students and adults who need to complete additional requirements for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
At registration, students currently enrolled in a day school program require written permission from their school Principal or they will NOT be registered.
IMPORTANT
ALL HWDSB STUDENTS MUST HAVE THEIR APPLICATION SIGNED/STAMPED BY THEIR SCHOOL AUTHORITY (Principal or Counsellor).
NON HWDSB STUDENTS must have an official transcript or final report card which proves they have the necessary requirements and/or prerequisites for the course they wish to take.

When and Where are the courses held?
Night School credit courses are held at:
Red Hill Learning Centre, 300 Albright Rd.(Corner of Mt. Albion), Hamilton
- Tuesdays & Thursdays - 6:00 to 9:30 p.m.
Westdale Secondary School - 700 Main St. West (Corner of Longwood Rd.)
- Mondays & Wednesdays – 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
All new credit courses offered at night school are worth 1 credit, unless otherwise noted.

What are the registration fees?
Visa Students and Visitors to Canada must pay fees at the Board Assessment Center prior to registering for night school.
There is an $80 refundable textbook deposit (CASH ONLY) required for some courses on the third night of class.
Red Hill Credit Courses have a $25.00 non-refundable fee payable in CASH ONLY!
Sir John A. Macdonald Courses have a $10.00 non-refundable fee in CASH ONLY!
INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGES Courses have a $10.00 non-refundable fee in CASH ONLY!
The non-refundable consumable fee (CASH ONLY) will be collected at registration.

Students currently attending day school must present an authorized Registration Form with SCHOOL STAMP and PRINCIPAL/GUIDANCE COUNSELOR SIGNATURE PLUS their Consumable Fee (CASH ONLY) in order to register. Day School students must also be electronically Cross Enrolled by their Home School to be eligible to take a course.
If you are NOT enrolled in a daytime high school, register on any of our scheduled registration days at CCE Red Hill Learning Center. Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.
Counsellors will be available at registration to advise students concerning choice of subjects, the evaluation of previous credits and equivalency credit allowances. All adult students registering for night school are required to bring a transcript or a report card from the last day school they attended.
